Pine Sylvestris, or Scotch Pine as it is more commonly known, is a purifying oil distilled from the needles of the tree. It has a warm, earthy and woody scent with a balsamic undertone.
In natural therapies, it may be used for its and antiseptic properties to calm colds and flu.
Its fresh scent lends well to natural home cleaning recipes. For many, pine is the scent of Christmas, and as such this essential oil is popular in Christmas DIYs and blends.
TRY: 10 drops of Pine Sylvestris in 1 cup of warm water and 1 cup of Apple Cider Vinegar for a quick bench-top cleaner.
