However the tree contains a high amount of Juglone which when seeps into the ground can be toxic to surrounding plants. The leaf of the Black Walnut tree contains much smaller traces of Juglone though when accumulated in the ground system can build up over time.
So what do you use this for?
Luckily for us humans topical uses of the leaf and in intention setting (mental health and mind clearing), is harmless in small amounts though should be used sparingly. The leaf can produce a beautiful natural dye.
